The main dance season is from mid-September to the end of June, followed by the annual recital. Classes are held weekly through these months, with camps and toddler programs held in 10- to 12-week sessions. Mini season classes are held from January to June and do not automatically continue from season to season.
Enrollment for the fall dance season is taken until November 1st. Linda recommends that students enroll early to begin classes in September. Most of the class material is taught from September through January. If a student enrolls late in the season, she reserves the right to require private lessons to bring the student's techniques up to the rest of the class.
Solo, duet, and trio classes for recitals, competition teams, and perfect attendance awards are not available for students who do not attend the first class of the season. Students are selected by the teacher based on several criteria. The student must be at least eight years old by January of the year classes are taken.
Four years of dance training at the Riverline Dance Academy or the Mary Ford Dance Studio are required. Students must complete the entire dance season from September to June. Those enrolled in mini sessions or camps are not eligible for duets or trios. These students must also have a positive, outgoing attitude when handling technical criticism.
